Penoso y lamentable el desempeño de San Martín en el partido que disputó en México ante el local San Luis de Potosí y en el que cayó por 3-1.
Un equipo timorato, temeroso, medroso que se dejó pasar por encima de principio a fin. Que falta de actitud y que apatía generalizada la de este equipo que fueron 11 muertos en la cancha.
Salieron a defenderse y se defendieron mal. Tuvieron a Germán Alemanno absolutamente aislado frente a 3 zagueros mexicanos. Hinostroza, Fretes y Fernández estaban destinados a contener, a presionar y a obstruir al rival y no hicieron más que mirar como el San Luis - de la mano del ecuatoriano Arroyo - les tocaba la pelota a placer de un lado a otro y hacía daño en cuanto se lo proponía.
Corzo tuvo un partido apenas regular pero por el otro lado Guizasola ratificó su nulidad pues fue una puerta abierta por su sector y jamás sirvió como proyección por su banda. Los defensas centrales con muchas limitaciones, mientras que Marinelli y Quinteros intentaban sin éxito generar fútbol pero fueron neutralizados sin mayores apremios por los rivales.
Deberán cambiar radicalmente tanto en lo futbolístico como en lo anímico si es que pretenden derrotar a Once Caldas y sellar su clasificación. Si no después van a estar lloriqueando y poniendo excusas ante una eventual eliminación. Ojalá reaccionen antes que sea demasiado tarde.

Una presentación más que bochornosa y decepcionante fue la que ofreció la selección peruana Sub 20 en el campeonato de la categoría que se inició en la ciudad de Arequipa tras su derrota como local frente a Chile por 2-0.
Fueron más de 7 meses de preparación los que tuvo el equipo dirigido por Gustavo Ferrín que parecieron ser apenas 7 dias de trabajos, de acuerdo al desastrozo espectáculo que sus pupilos brindaron en el campo, absolutamente inconexos, sin ninguna capacidad de generación de fútbol colectivo y apelando a un juego individualista clamorosamente improductivo.
Chile en cambio, sí se mostró como un equipo, tuvo un sistema defensivo sólido, tuvo juego asociado y un par de jugadores que por los extremos dejaron en evidencia el desmadre defensivo de los locales.
El panorama se presenta más que sombrío para Perú de cara a lo que se viene y -como siempre- se tendrá que esperar una actuación con matices épicos para poder superar a la selección argentina.
Se consumará un enésimo fracaso del funesto Burga y compañía. Todo hace indicar que sí, salvo error u omisión.
